In order to be able to give an accurate quote for work, I need 1:1 line drawn artwork (for each of the elements proposed if for different sized fret inlays) - preferably in black ink on white paper - and a clear indication where necessary of the different types of materials to be used.
The cost of any work is usually determined by the following;
- The amount of material to be used
- The type of material(s) to be used
- Its size and complexity – i.e. the time it will take to complete
I cannot over emphasize the need for pre-planning during the initial stage of preparing artwork for any inlay project. To my mind the size of the Inlay is crucial to its success.
In essence – too large for the space it is intended to decorate and it will look clumsy – too small and it will simply lack visual impact
